An online event and exhibition held on Waterwheel on 18-20 March 2016.

250+ entries, 150+ scientists, 22 curators, artists, activists and youth from 5 continents contributed to the call for the online exhibition: WATER WORKS! This event can be described as a live forum between audience, curators & contributors, interspersed with short performances & videos, and a celebratory event of World Water Day and the closing of the internet platform Waterwheel, after 5 years of successful activities and the building up of a dynamic global community

Contributors responded to the questions: how WATER WORKS despite climate change, financial crises, war, and global environmental damage; how art, science, design, and activism can reinstate the social, cultural and environmental value of water; and how we can give recognition to the indispensable and invaluable ways that water works.

Curators discussed selected entries and responded to an online audience. Special guest, world-famous classical Indian singer Mahesh Vinayakram sang for the opening & closing of the event. An additional special workshop DIY Audio Streaming was held on Waterwheel by SoundCamp streaming technician Grant Smith, on Sunday 20 March 9-11 am (UK time). Some documentation here and here.
