In 2003 Keith Armstrong mentored Suzon Fuks and James Cunningham through an investigation into the practical and theoretical potential for electronic networks as media for creating new forms of performance practice. During the mentorship, they streamed performance material across Local Area Networks, the internet and The Access Grid – a high-end video conferencing network.
Between 2003 and 2011, Suzon and Igneous continued to research networked performance primary using the internet, by initiating events and partaking in open events, using a range of online platforms including iVisit, Selfworld, Skype, UpStage, DIAL, Tokbox and Video Whisper, with and without audience, both proximal and online.
